I notice that there's little activity in the PBEM section for WWI: LGG. What provisions are there for Multiplayer/two player play? Is PBEM possible?

There is no PBEM capability.

Multiplayer game play is possible either via a LAN or the internet, however this is "real-time" play, not by e-mailed turns.

Obviuosly this makes setting up multi-player games a little more difficult so I suspect that has something to do with it.

Also Multi-player has only become reasonably reliable via internet with the Gold version or original version patched to current state. Earlier versions had a lot of trouble getting it to work right.
