I have followed the trials and tribulations of WW1G for several months now. I still read lots of problems with this title from Ageod, and have withheld from purchasing it. So, I am asking have most of the bugs been fixed and is it worth spending money on in its present state? I tried the demo, liked what I saw, but am still doubtful whether to buy it going by some of the posts on here. If I did buy it, I would probably get it from gamersgate or direct from ageod. I read some good things as well however, which is why I have kept looking at this game.

The answer is YES!!! I have the board game and have lived through the trench warfare of the games modifications, at this time and moment it is a very accurate replication of the original game and is VERY fun to play!

I agree completely. Sure, there are some things that need to be ironed out,but thanks to the excellent patching that has happened since WW1(and WW1G) came out the game is very playable now and IMO, great fun!

Well, I purchased this from gamersgate on Friday, not had much time to play as had a busy weekend, but played the Serbia scenario to try and get a feel for the game. It seems really interesting, has the 'feel' of a boardgame. I remember when this game was first released during 2008 - there was an advert in BBC History magazine at the time of the anniversary of the the armistice. I thought that was a good advert in an appropriate magazine at the right time!

The game seems really complex - really. Going to have some fun reading these posts and the manual. Playing Russia looks like it might be fun...
