Hi to you all!

I noticed that one of my detachments is "out of command" - I never had that before.

Do I have to transfer that detachment nearer to the GHQ, to get it into command again? I can't find any information in the manual - maybe I'm blind

Many thanks for any help!!!

That's your best bet for sure.

Alternatively if the unit is fixed to a certain army then you'll either need to bring the HQ or unit closer to one another.

What are the exact malus for being out of command ? In my current game I also have a land detachment out of command (a unit of naval arty that I attached to germany's first army). Do not know if related to the fact that the HQ advanced and the arty got out of command, but my move orders to this land detachment for the past 3 turns are not executed...(although it did move out of it's initial location in the first turn...) ??

Army Detachments are out of command when they are not in command range with their HQ (not the GHQ). When they are out of command, they cannot intervene during battles (defender pre-battle reinforcements) and have a penalty when a movement order is scheduled (they don't move to attack in some occurrences).

That must be it. For months I am trying to bring my naval arty to participate in the siege of antwerp but although the path is mapped, it stays imobile :neener:
