After hours playing the game,from yesterday to today,I find my computer getting slower and slower with the time grows.For some games it spends long time to change the game screen to the windows screen .But it is quick to change the screen out to the system screen in WW1.What is slow is in the game.In 1914,the game speed is ok.But in 1916 there are more troops,maybe many datas or models to be handled .The computer gets slower .Especially when the WW1 news comes "XXX technoledge is improved " or I deploy my troops or I click the go to the next turn page or the AI is working.May be the AI computing is so special. Sometimes my computer waits long time for this.In 1918 my computer runs so hot that I can not touch it.
I tried to change my screen from 1280*800 to 1024*768.But it do not change better.I think there are many computing works during the game.
Is there any settings to make the game speed better?
By the way my notebook Os is win7 ,ram 2G ,Graphics ram is 512M

The AI process grows when your enemy has many isolated stack, because the escape find procedure is quite CPU consuming.
Also, the number of forces on the map makes longer map recalculation time.
I personally think the slow performance is somehow concerned by Win7. Running on Vista, I don't have such slow performance, while instead all Win7 users are reporting a sluggish game performace. So I believe some trick is to be found in Win7 compatibility mode (or RAM increase?).

Yes,maybe it is the problem with win7. During 1917 to 1918,the game sometimes Suddenly crashed.
