Replay of units moving extremely tedious

When I hit end turn at the end of the military phase it can take 5 minutes to watch in painfully slow motion each and every unit on the map move.

Please can you find a way so that this can be increased? Currently I uset the time to make lunch or a cup of tea.

Thanks

I watch the BBC series “The Great War” in increments while the units are moving. :neener:

An option is available to speed up or down movement processes during resolution.

Which button would that be? I found it, but its still tediously slow. Indeed I am writing this as the computer churns ever so slowly through the turn next door. Another 5 mins on a 4 gig machine to go. :(

To increase the movement speed you have to move on the left the slider for "Movements on map".

Thanks Calvinus, its still very slow I am afraid.

Whilst I have you have a look at the secondary austrian fleet and see if you can get it to leave the coastal areas.

Cheers!

Can't you assign a mission to that fleet? IIRC, fleets in the main Europe map can only move through selecting a mission.

For movement speed, if you're playing in 4-players mode, probably it's the amount of moves that is huge indeed (AI tends to make many adm moves!).
I have 3-4 mins too...

I probably could let the game use a faster movement speed indeed, faster than allowed now... ;)

Thanks, that would be great, whilst some moves are interesting, most are not :)

Bad news. I checked the stacks movement stuff and I discovered the min lag time is currently 0 (zero). That means if you move the slider to min (leftmost position), the lag time is zero, and cannot be done faster. Sorry... :(

Edit: now we can investigate if there's some resident program that is slowing down the game... Just one idea: Norton Antivirus? It's the worst enemy of WW1 PC game. :D

And now good news. :)

I added a tweaking, so that the movement speed can now span from -50 to 100.
When positive, the value measures the lag time during movements on map.
When negative, the lag time is zero and the movement speed is really boosted: the more you move the slider on the left and the more you set the speed closer to -50, the more the movements are boosted! :D

It's the worst enemy of computers in general. :turc:
