Is there a way to automatically refill all corps during the reinforcement segment?

If not it might be a good idea to add it? It would obviously generate an error message if there wasn’t sufficient point to do so but if you do it can be a bit tedious to refill them all manually

There is no way right now, I do agree that it could prove useful. the question however, is the rules on max. number of allowed RP spent a turn (half of total), max number of RP spent on an army. Unless you had an easy previous turn with only light losses, its easy to implement, but when you need to prioritize...

AI does it automatically, of course.

For human players it's a bit cumberstome...

I say: yes I can add a sort of "advisor" who, when activated, can do the job for you, using the same procedures of AI.... but.... this activity is linked to your plans, not AI plans. So, for example, what happens if the AI refills units in such a way you cannot execute your offensive plans as you wish?!

You do not want autamatic RF refilled units, the reason is quite simple. In real War reguardless of scale, where you want to deploy manpower and what you want in manpower NEVER balances out at all ever!

Part of the Major realism is the truely not haveing enough manpower to spend/spread. You as Grand Field Marshall have to accuratly determine that.

It is a major realism factor, even more so VS a Human to Human game.

Do not forget that you need RP for morale checks during battle. The game will prevent you from spending all your RPs to keep at some in reserve for this aim.

You definitely need to prioritize. Truly, you cannot and will almost ever be able to flip all your damaged units in one single turn. You will definitely need to keep some Corps damaged on purpose on secondary fronts.

What would be nice, though, is a "flip all damaged units in a HQ/Stack" button.

Or a button that will cycle through all the units with damaged corps in them. That would work just fine and keep the decision making in my hands.

The real chore to it is clicking on all your units just to find the damaged ones.

Such a shortcut key should browse all stacks that contain damaged corps, right?

For the time being, why not using a combination of Enter key (that browses all armies of the currently selected nation) and Ins key (that browses all stacks of the currently selected army)?

Oops! Forgot about Enter key,it should suffice. I never really used it so I should start, at least doing replacements.

You probably shouldn't even bother filtering just the damaged ones as I suggested, it wouldn't save more than a couple key presses so probably not worth spending time on. ;)

We could also enrich the Army Roster adding a new symbol for armies that contain 1+ wounded corps. So we could be able to quickly zoom the map and select the army with a double click. :neener:

That would be very nice, Cal.

Perhaps that little skull I've seen? Something like that on the army's map pieces? Preferably small and on the edge of it?.

The skull is probably too much! :D
What about the "finger down"?

Maybe even a Red Cross; +, on white background to make it stand out.

Ok, I'll ask the graphist to study a sprite for that purpose.
I will start working on the new beta patch soon.

This new feature will come with the official patch immediately after the current 1.08F just incoming (maybe today).

Being able to quickly zoom in on the map to where an HQ or stack contains wounded corps would be great.

Thanks calvinus for looking into this for us. :)

When the first reinforcements come, they are not shown on the reinforcements window at the bottom of the screen. It is hard to find them if you are not farmiliar with the map.check the messages on the message window to find where they are located.I really spend lots of time doing this.I think it can not be automaticly refilled.Because it is your plan where they should be placed. The computer do not know which area should it be put to .

If the reinforcement is automatically placed, you are informed by the popup window, and you can click on the "go to map" button on the popup, so zooming the map on the stack that received the reinforcement. In such a case, obviously the reinforcement is not to be shown inside the Reinforcement bar, because it has been already placed.

Is there any "go to map" button? There are messages on the popup .
Actually I think this automatically placed reinforcement is not good.
I think the reinforcement is shown on the Reinforcement bar is a good way,
then you can decide which to be placed at where.

The automatically placed reinforcements are only during 1914. They reflect historically the progressive mobilization of forces. So take this as a simplification for you, rather than as a boring feature.

The automatically placed reinforcements are decided in the warplan. That reflects the history.
