Does the Naval Trap work in 1.06 h?

HI,

I have had two issues where I had the trap and the enemy was able to disengage from the battle in the first round. Now the range was long but that should not matter if I had them trapped correct?

It was Spee's squadron in the South Atlantic and a sub in the North Sea for the two instances.

Here is the save.

HI,

Just to confirm, is it working correctly or was it operator error on my part?

Happened to me as well, in the South Atlantic. Spee was able to retreat before firing a shot, and I had the faster fleet as well.

I believe the reason is that the "trapped" fleet was small and composed by warships-not-in-range, so they escaped anyway. So the "problem" is that the trap should make the firing range be automatically arranged in order to avoid such an incoherent outcome.

Now I do not recall if the trap is supposed to do already so (in such a case it's a bug), or this supposed effect is the outcome of a naval advantage (tactical, aggressive, reaction?)... :bonk:

Hi,

Has this issue been looked at in the Gold version?

Will the combat reports work also for naval warfare?

Combat reports work for all types of battles, so included naval and air duels.

I checked the Trap matter, and I saw the firing range determination is not automatically set to 'small' in case of Trap.

So, in small battles you'll be required to be twice lucky: hope to catch the enemy in a trap and get the shorter firing range as possible! ;)

Speaking of battle logs, beware that the amount of reports during naval duels is really impressive... I don't believe you will have enough patience to read everything carefully!
