Event cards

I have read the "Events and stratagems" in the manual, but I have some questions about :

- Is there a desk for each player or a common desk ?

- How many cards exist for each subject ? How many "Clemenceau" or how many "Diplomacy" for example ?

- How can I block a good card for the enemy ?For example I am a german player and I want to block "Clemenceau" card for the French, what I do when I can choose this card ? Is it taking and not using ? If I refuse and not take, is this card in the common desk again (if it exists) ?

Thanks for answers :)

Common deck.

One card per event by default, unless differently stated in the manual, events section, "notes" paragraph (for each event).

You have simply to take the card and keep it in your hand...

BUT the "Reshuffle" event now resets the hand of players! :D Hi hi hi... :king:

I already experienced this surprise in my personal brand new campaign...

The number of events drawn at start is variable - if both Germany and Austria choose "Bon Moral" and "Evénements" they usually seem to get get 8-12.

So with both countries choosing "Voluntaires et Munitions" they might draw 2-6.

Is it a bug?
Every turn I get a reshuffle event.
So before I can choose any event they are lost again.
Is it because I'm playing an old savegame (version 1.06b or c)?
Now I'm playing 1.06d beta.

Ops... :bonk: Post here a zipped savegame (.sav & .map as usual). I will check it with max urgency.

Thanks,
Calvinus.

Hy calvinus,
here is my savegame with the reshuffle bug. After starting an old savegame (1.06a, b or c) I get the reshuffle event every round since 1916. Actually I'm in June 1918 and I'm still getting this event.

BTW when you look at my savegame you will recognize that I'm playing with a braindead ai (only for learning purpose ;) ).
Is it ok that I'm hunting the russians all over the map for nearly 15 month now (June 1918) and they refuse to surrender to me? Now they have only a handful of cities and town and only 2 - 4 corps; that's the whole russian army.
France surrendered long ago.
What do I have to do to get the russian capitulation (and finish the game)?

Ok, it seems yours is an old savegame pre-1.06D.

In your save I see that the "difficulty" of the Reshuffle event is 0, instead of 5.

So do as follows:

1) Open the .SAV file with a text editor and locate the BeginEvent...EndEvent section where the Tag=PUB_020
2) Now set the Difficulty=5 and DeadlineTurn=0

On my side I'm adding a code fix to force the DeadlineTurn to 0... ;)
