ghq not releasing siege guns

a patch or so ago my ghq would supply reserves to any offensive battle. with this latest patch it seems not to be releasing my siege guns or tanks to any battle, even ones right next store.

Army-numbered units (corps, artillery) are not more released. How about tanks?

there are no numbered units in my ghq. its not releasing any guns, tanks, or stormtroopers in any battle, offensive or defensive.
a side question. is ghq suppose to release any units in defensive battles?

Yes, only defensive battles. For offensive ones, I have to check the rules, now I'm a bit confused...

i hope your wrong about that. my ghq has never released units for defensive battles in any patch. with the only exception possiably of defending against a grand offensive, (im not positive about that however).
it used to release units for any offensive, till this patch.

i did some more testing.
1. the GHQ's do not release any corps or support units when on the defensive. even when defending against a grand offensive.
the manual ( section 11.3.6 ), says the ghq's can send units to any battle within its range, it doesnt say it can only send units to just offensive battles.
2. in offensive battles the GHQ's do release corps, but do not release any support units such as tanks, arty or storm troopers.
manual section 11.5.8 specifically states that 2 heavy arty units from the GHQ can be deployed anywhere on the western front to intervene in all battles. attack or defence.
my testing did not involve any numbered units, so that is not a factor. and i made sure the GHQ's were in range.
as i mentioned before, in earlier patches GHQ's would release both corps and support units to offensive battles. this changed with the latest patch.
in no patch ive used has GHQ'S released any units at all to defensive battles.
