Drm

I had presumed as I had not found anything to say otherwise that ageod was like Stardock did not use DRM, that was until reading the demo thread that it was suggested that ageod have included DRM in WW1 : La Grande Guerre 14-18.

What is, if any, the DRM used by ageod in WW1 : La Grande Guerre 14-18?

Can I say that I do not buy DRM infected software simply because I know that it does not stop the pirates and will either most likely cause either performance, stability or restrict me from using my computer.

In addition there is the issue that as is the case with IL2 Forgotten Battles that even if I did want to install this DRM infected software on my computer it does not work with Vista Ultimate x64.

I will not reward a publisher for the above. How many are there like me? Hopefully enough. Now that DRM has been in for years and it has been proven time and time again that the only people affected by DRM is the person who buys the game and that DRM does not stop or reduce piracy we will see publishers stop wasting huge amounts on DRM that I hope is costing them more in lost sales, why? Because I like playing games.

A serial key.

I.e none of the things that one usually associates with DRM.

Great news and a relief.

I eagerly look forward to the demo and hope that we may do business on this title.

I do not associate a serial number with DRM so may I be so bold as to highlight the fact that you do not use it.

Yes, only a serial number. The talk in the demo thread was about -I think - the fact that the game being highly moddable (nearly every parameter being in editable files), it is not easy to produce a demo which could not be used as a free full game. :)
