Where can I buy the board game version?

I have fallen in love with this game but given lack of PBM it seems like multiplayer might be more fun with the analogue version.
In any case there is a social bonus with the occasional face to face gaming. So where can I optain an English language version of the game?

Send a PM to Philippe, or try with eBay...
I will NEVER sell you my copy of LGG, for sure!

So what you are saying is that it is out of print?

La Grande Guerre goes for quite high prices on Ebay. I was lucky enough to buy one from the publisher in Paris, several years ago. As Calvinus, there is no way I am departing from it.
However, do keep in mind that unless you know a couple of other "fanaticals" like you are, you will hardly get any games of the boardgame going.

It is a monster! Altough a playable monster by any means.
There are modules of LGG for Cyberboard and Aide de Camp 2, both are excellently done. PBEM does work with them, but it is slow, mostly due to tactical battle rounds. Also, with PBEMing the boardgame, if you ever get to that point, aim to have only two players. Due to the nature of playing in e-mail, it is faster to have only two players, rather than four.

I live alone I a fairly large apartment in Copenhagen so I was planning on doing a face to face but if the game is unobtainable I shall have to contend myself with Paths of Glory I suppose.
Well that or a net party at home on LAN once the multiplayer part is stable.

Yes, but it's totally worth it. Got mine for $300. Best WWI game ever. If I'm ever homeless, have lost my home and possessions, and am pushing a shopping cart around, I will still have my copy of LGG in the cart.

I don't think they have any at the moment, but are always on the lookout. Their price and service are wonderful!

Might be worth the effort to set up a list somewhere were those of us interested could to sign up – just to judge if there is an interest.
Frankly I consider it pretty unlikely given you’d need quite a few to even making it interesting to look into it – but still if you have the rights for the game no reason not to make a sticky somewhere were we can sign up. If you get enough interest you could open for pre-orders with a threshold at say, 500, orders for printing. Akin to the system gtmgames use.

The website is only in French. Send them an email - they are very responsive. They sent my copy registered airmail to US and it arrived quickly and in perfect shape. The game is actually made by Azure Wish and I doubt there are very many copies left around. If they have it - get it.
As Doug said, the most compreshensive game ever made on WWI. No PC game can ever match the vista of this on a game table. I know there have been issues with the PC game, but AGEOD took on a monster to port this to the computer with a functioning AI (which you don't get with the board game). I am confident they will succeed.
I have a mint copy I will sell!

Thanks,
But at that price I think I’ll have to pass for now. Perhaps when I’ve played the computer for 6 months and still remain enthusiastic $500 + shipping will seem like a bargain and I’ll kick myself for not having grabbed the chance but before shelving that sort of money for a board game I want to be sure that it is something I’ll be playing a lot.
In the unlikely event you haven’t sold it in a few months I may be back but for now thanks but no thanks.
Meanwhile I’ve ordered up Pursuit of Glory from GTM games and found a player for a weekend for fine dining, wine cognac and Great War Mayhem.
