Hi,
I do not see how to add a general to my army, I play with Austria and in the stats I checked the screen with the infos on officers: The general in command of the K.u.K do not apear in the game screen, the square allocated to him is grey like if there was none. As for the armies where I would like to add a general I do not see where I should click to add or view a general screen or something...

1/ Is it normal? are there some restrictions that I should know about?
2/ Also and I have to apologise for that, instead of numerous players of CWOA or BOA I do not comprehend yet the mecanism of how many battalion should an army can have? also depending of the general in command I suppose (# of stars)
3/How is possible to transfert a battalion from one army to another in a different region (simply drag&drop?)

Thank you in advance

The generals you do not see are the unplaced ones. ;)
You have to enact the "New Leader" political actions in order to receive them as reinforcements (so drag & drop over the HQ from the reinf. box). The "New Leader" political action is going to be double-checked anyway in order to see if there are bugs.
Anyway, if you see leaders listed in the Ledger that are not placed on the map, well this is not a bug... You just know that somebody is playing cards in Berlin/Paris! :mdr:

WW1 engine is totally different form the other AgeOD games... :(
A big manual will come very soon, so explaining all obscure points.

The two detachments must be in the same area. In addition, "numbered" corps (those who naturally belong to a particular army - see the yellow rectangular sprite located in the top-right corner of the unit counter) can belong only to their army, unless this army is yet not in play! ;)

Thanks Calvinus,
You are right, actualy after I wrote the last thread I tried a new game with the political option and it worked.
But,the game I started on was on the 1.04c version. The general was in command in the stat screen but did not appear on the game screen. I started another game on version 1.04e and it was on the screen so... :D
Thanks

The political option currently is partially bugged. Only not-assigned generals are taken into account (those sitting in Berlin playing cards! ;) ), not all possible leaders (see Leader.xls DB). So I fixed this error. Next patch...

Calvinus: I'm pestering you again on the generals with something different though ;)

One of the Austrian initial strategic options is that 3 generals are appointed to I, II and V armies. It seems that only Bohm-Ermelli actually appears. BTW maybe the use of this option may effect the appearance of others that should be triggered through the political option? Just pure speculation ...
