First game since patch, diplo issue

i just started a new game since the last patch, the Diplo pre-phase. I select my level 2 ambassador, sen him to Turkey, but I cannot ask for audience or send on a mission.

As you can see it says zero ambassador not allowed. He is not zero, and is the first and only ambassador i sent out.

Same here. Only the second ambassador in the list for A-H works. None for Germany.

I can only send ambassadors during the first diplomatic phase, but cannot send them on a mission (i suposse that they are moving to the target country and that's why we cannot give them a mission). In the next diplomatic phase i can send on a mission only one diplomatic. I don't understand very well how works diplomacy in WWI so i think i'm missing something here.

but the other guys have successes or failuers, and previous before this patch i could do two rounds.

edit: I downloaded "e" and tried that. same results. the skill 2 and even a skill 1 ambassador in the 1st diplo round has the "zero skill ambassadors cant" message just like in the picture

It must be so. Only one diplomatic mission per phase.

Ok, I finally figured the reason and this is not a bug!

You can plan only one mission per phase.
In fact the tooltip says: "The zero ambassador cannot be sent in mission. In addition, players can plan no more than one mission per turn."

Also, the "What's new" version log of the game has clearly informed:

- Added the check on max diplomatic missions per player per turn

;)

Ok but I did NO missions that turn, and no ambassadors can! I know how to do the mission, its not letting me (it will the next round, it seems to think I have a mission planned already when I havent done a thing in round 1)

The picture shows my only ambassador in use and sent out. It wont allow me do a mission with any ambassadors in that very first round. Is that correct? the other powers get 2 rounds, I am only able to do a mission in the second round at game start.

The check on max missions is per turn and per player side.

That means that CP can do only 1 mission in Early August 1914. So, if you plan a mission in the diplomatic pre-phase, you can't do it in the diplomatic full-phase. Is this your case? ;)

Also, if you plan a mission for Austria-Hungary, you can't do the same for Germany. You have to choose...

OK this may make sense. Because I am in 4 player (only playing Germany), so if AH has a mission planned that is why I cannot?

Boardgame rules. The limitation in diplomatic mission is imposed by the common sense, in order to avoid a too fast escalation in world diplomatics (all nations at war in short time).

Also, as written in several other posts, the 4-players campaign has been designed only for the multiplayer sessions. The single player mode is not stable with the 4-player campaign.

OK got it thank you.

That was my problem. I thought that as the CP, both Germany AND A-H would get one mission per turn.

One more reason why we need a real manual.
