"AGEOD has given strategy gamers a great way to experience the grand sweep of the American Civil War. The game is deep and complex in a very good way. Casual players should stay away. But veteran strategy gamers and those with interest in the period are encouraged not to miss AGEOD’s American Civil War."

This is a very fair review. The game deserves the high marks for so many great things and the appropriate criticism for how slow the turns are.

An excellent review. Yes, waiting for the turn to resolve annoys me.

Gamespot has one review that finds the game too detailed and not flashy enough. Two other reviewers give it superb ratings.

Web grognards has a short review that is very positive. They take submissions... :innocent:

I have found over the years that there reviews tend to not like games that break new ground. They tend to be the exception to the rule when many others like a game. There comment about to complex and not enough flash. NOT ENOUGH FLASH? What are that they want from a game. I have no need for such off the wall game reviews but to each his own. I love this thing and it can get a bit large to handle but then to those guys sitting in Washington it must have been the same way :-).
