Goodaye,

This looks really interesting.

Looking at one of the screenshots in the article it showed details of a British general. Is anybody able to tell me what...

"Coordination Value"
"Pursuit Value"
"Sacking Value" (I guess that's the cost in National Will to give him the flick)
"Obstination Value"

...refer to?

Cheers,
Plugger

I saw these things in the manual ;)

As I do not read it carefully yet I am unable to answer, but my advise would be to have a look on it :D

Goodaye,

How do you have access to the manual when the game hasn't been released?

Is it downloadable somewhere?

Cheers,
Plugger

If you pre order, download and install the game, everything will be on your HD (including the manual) ;)

But it is not playable (I tried :bonk :) until a little "patch" released the 10th :grr:

Coordination value: this is the value used by this general to test coordination of his army with another army (whose general's coordination value is used). Both are added, and a roll (D12) made...if test result is higher, both armies are coordinated (i.e. move together and the enemy cannot react between them, as he can do in between non-coordinated armies)... so the lower the better.

Pursuit value: this is the number of corps that can be used in breakthroughs.

Sacking value: this is the value used by this general to test when a political action of sacking is made. It's not the cost (which is paid in National Will points) but it represents the general's political clout and importance.

Obstination value: this is the minimum number of combat rounds that the general must make while attacking... the higher the value, the more obstinate he is (check French general Nivelle value and see how it illustrates the 1917 'Chemin des Dames' bloodbath)

Thanks :D

I am like St Thomas: "I only trust what I see"... :D :D

And would it be possible to release the 8th (to play during week end...)...???

For both: At least I would have tried....

Goodaye Philippe,

Thanks for the reply. Could I ask about the AI given that this is predominately a single player game?

I read on the forums (?) that the game doesn't use the standard AGEod engine so I'm assuming it wouldn't have a 'Pocus' inspired Athena.

Are you able to speak a little about the design of the AI (eg. is it adapted from another game? It is it scripted? Who wrote it? etc.)

Your game appears - on first glance - to be towards the far end of the complexity scale and building a challenging AI I'd imagine wouldn't be easy.

Cheers,
