Whites of there eyes 1775-1783 Campain

Ive been playing this scenario and a couple of others on the 1.07b patch so have upgraded to the 1.08 patch and have started this campain again,I will be playing the British against the AI at an avarage level ive still got a lot to learn.
My army is inactive in Boston at the moment but when my reinforcements turn up i intend to sail to NewYork and capture the city as soon as possible.
Canada will be reinforced as will Norfolk which i intend to hold and use as a supply base.As can be seen on the map there are several objectives in New England which are within striking distance of Boston and NewYork so they will be initial targets.

Turn 3 brings reinforcments from England which are sent to capture NewYork.The Caughnawagas warband moves to La Motte and sets up an ambush after discovering that rebels have captured Fort Ticonderoga.
Tories seize control of Augusta Georgia and form a militia regiment.

Turn 4 Howe has landed at manhatten but cannot command so Pigott takes charge and storms the city.

Turn 5
Lord Howe sails his fleet south and sinks a squadron of American bateaux in hampton roads.
At fort 96 Loyalist militia defeat rebel militia inflicting 40 casualties for no loss.
In Norfolk Lord Dunmore raises a regiment of Virginian Tories.
Fort Oswego falls to the American brigadier Schuyler and his small continental force.

Turn 7
Clinton takes command of the Army at NewYork and defeats some militia before marching on and seizing PerthAmboy the Americans withdrew before combat.Clinton will now return to NewYork after garrisoning Amboy.

Loyalist militia attack American George Clarks militia in Amelia the Loyalists(960 men) defeat the Americans(541 men) killing 148 for the loss of 43.The Loyalist militia will pusue the rebels and engage them again before retireing for winter quarters.

Turn 8
General Clinton has marched back to Manhatten leaving a garrison in Perth Amboy.
The Caribbean sqn has sailed for Norfolk with the 14th Foot on board but came under the guns of Charleston and took heavy damage the 14th was destroyed.
The Loyalist militia captured Orangeburg but the Americans disengaged and moved off to Augusta,The loyalists now face a 42day march back to ninety six as there is no supply in Orangeburg.
The 2nd Grenadiers in Boston received elite replacments

Turn 11 February 1776
Winter is turning to spring and my troops are getting ready for the years campains.Dragoons are out scouting the countryside along with a spy.Pigotts brigade chases off an american regiment in Newark.Washingtons army was last seen heading towards Albany,Im going to await reinforcments before starting my campain to pacify New England ive got a regiment of Highlanders on route from Halifax and the southern expedition should arrive soon but they will be used to seize Charleston or Savanah.

Turn 12 March 1776
General Howe is back in Boston with an army of 9 Regiments of Foot/1 regiment of Artillery and 1 supply plus 2 regiments of militia.
General Clinton is in the NewYork area with 9 regiments of foot/1 regiment of artillery plus dragoons and supply.Pigotts brigade is at Perth with 3 Foot.
These forces will wait for Burgoyne to arrive before marching to crush the rebelion in New England.
Carleton and his forces are still garrisoned at Montreal
Sir Peter Parkers squadron has arrived in the southern atlantic and will sail and bombard Savanah before landing Cornwallis and his army.

Turn 13 April 1776
In NewYork Clinton captures a wagon train while the 17th Dragoons scout NewHaven.
Numerous units receive replacments including the 1st Grenadiers and a Regiment of Germans arrives in Halifax 20ep.
General Burgoyne's army has arrived and will sail to Boston.

Turn 14 June 1776
In Boston General Howe awaits Burgoyne and his army and will then seek to bring washington and the continental army to battle in Dorchester.
My Indians at Ticonderoga were beaten of by the Americans

The Crown has promised to send more highlanders to the colonies and Thomas Brown forms raiders in St Augustine who will be transported to Savanah.Cornwallis has finnished building a fort at Savanah and has marched to Augusta where the American militia withdrew,Cornwallis who has been promoted to Cin C will attack August next tun.

Turn 15 June 1776
Canada, The royal greens and the royal highland emigrants move by boat to Montreal to join Carletons brigade.
Boston, Burgoyne and Howe are both inactive this turn so Von Reidesel takes command and marches to the heights to engage washington and his army but suffers a defeat.

Lord Cornwallis captures Augusta destroying two units and gains 6 VPs and 1mp.Cornwallis must now decide either to capture Camden or march and lay seige to Charleston

The 74th Highlanders sail from Halifax bound for NewYork.
Washington and his army have moved to Peabody,Von reidesel and howe will leave him to the newly arrived Northern army.

Turn 17 August 1776
Sir Charles Grey's army arrives in Boston and sails for NewYork.Alexander Leslie's northern army will guard Boston for now.Howe'a army clears the heights of rebels while Von Reidesel captures Dorchester.
Lord Dunmore raises another militia regiment at Norfolk which has so far encountered no Americans.
The 17th Dragoons along with the 74th Highlanders have captured New Haven.

Sir Charles Grey and his army arrive in NewHaven and start to build a fort.Von Riedesel arrives in Dartmouth and captures the port and sets about building a depot.The German general Knyphausen marches an army from Boston to Providence which has been abandoned by the rebels.

Carleton is in winter quarters in Canada,
My Armiies in New England are starting to settle down into winter quarters but Washington has attacked and captured NewHaven forcing the 17th Dragoons and the Highlanders to withdraw,Clinton will march to NewHaven and attack Washington before winter sets in.

Turn 22 January 1777
All commands in the north are in winter quarters,Elite infantry are trained aswell as several replacements.More troops are sent from England.
Lord Dunmores troops break the seige of Norfolk inflicting fourhundred casualties on the rebels.
Cornwallis moves into Camden to rest and build strength.
Waiting for the winter to break then washington will be hunted down and New England will be back under the control of the King leaving the rest of the colonies to be mopped up by the victorious Generals of the British army

Turn 23 Februrary 1777
More infantry are trained and more troops arrive from England,In NewYork Johann Friedrich Specht sails for Norfolk with a force of five battalions upon landing a Rebel force is engaged and forced to retreat.

In Canada Carleton is still iced in at Montreal,Butlers rangers are marching south overland from Quebec to join him.
Royal navy warships scour the shipping lanes for American privateers.
In New England Knyphausen and Von Riedesel march against Washington at Worcester but Washington evades them.Clinton is still enroute to Springfield while Sir Charles Grey marches towards Albany.
J.F.Sphechts brigade captures Petersburg inflicting 266 casualties on the rebels.Lord Rawdons southern army will join forces with him as soon as transport can carry them to Norfolk.

The British didnt like to recognize his rank as General,Didnt Howe refer to him as mister Washington.

Thanks for your post zerothehero wish i had the time to write a comprehensive AAR full of great screenshots but my wargame workload is high at the moment hence why this one has slowed a little but still doing a couple of turns a week now so more to come soon.

Turn 26 May 1777
Carletons army has at last sailed from Montreal to Oswego and will head east after securing the town and approach Albany.

In NewEngland Clinton has captured Springfield while Howe and his army have headed back to NewLondon to resupply.Von Reidesel fails to take Worcester and to make things worse Nathanial Greene turns up with 8000 rebels and defeats him,Bad timing by me as i had just marched Knyphausen out of Worcester to resupply.

Cornwallis will oversee the conquest of the south and will head north to capture key enemy held towns especialy Hillsborro,Wilmington and Charlotte.

Turn 28 July 1777
In the North Carleton's Brigade and an Indian warband that i activated are marching along the Mowhawk river vally to threaten Ft Stanwix and German flats,The Indians made good time and are setting up an ambush whilst Carleton has got another 25 days to march.
Sir Charles Grey and his army are resting in Albany for the month before marching out to help finish off New England.
Leslies Corps has marched on and captured Worcester while Sir Henry Clinton has marched to engage Nathanial Greene's army at Hartford.

Turn 29 August 1777
The Oswego to Fort Stanwix expedition is getting bogged down in the wilderness so Carleton has left Prescott in charge of his force and hopes he and Butlers rangers will arrive at Ft Stanwix next month.
Clinton and Leslie attacl Nathanial Greene and his army who have recaptured Springfield but are defeated after a poorly organised attack.

An American brigade of three regiments is spotted near Charlotte and will be dealt with next month.

Overall i think im winning the war so far but my forces are spread to thin,I need to concentrate a force against Nathanial Greene who has become a thorn in my side,Ive requested another two regiments of Foot from england and will try to defeat him before winter sets in.
