Crash in grand campaign

Wonderful, just bought your game today.
Got home installed.
Started grand campaign 1775-1783
pressed new turn (first turn)
and got error box 'Parsing line 10237 Not enemy = 245'
Not only that but the whole game locks up.
The only way to kill it is too go to task manager and close the process wia.exe.
Seriously this is not a good advert for your company. Haven't tried other scenarios yet but if the same happens this game goes straight back to the shop and I wont be buying any other of your games.
Have you heard of quality control(this is not a flippant remark but a genuine comment on the state of your software)
PS I have applied the latest patch and the same thing happens.

Well I've tried aother scenarios and they seem to work,
so it looks like there is a problem with the grand campaign, which is the one I bought the game for!!!
btw I have the boxed UK version.
Improvements.

Having just bought the boxed version of the game were the campaign scenario is unplayable due to scripting error might I suggest a future improvement is to actually ship games that have been tested and work!

lodilefty wrote:IMHO it would be good if the automatic crash report included a 'pop up' window for the user to enter comments, what they were doing, etc...
In my case [sent 2x], I had music 'on' and sound 'off'.
...not that I figured that out right away.
Also, it would help of the script report.txt were included to assist tracking down script errors..
It would also help if they didn't lock the game!! I have to use Task manager to recover!

Please zip and upload to here the logs and savedgame files from the scenario that crashed.
Actually, if the 'reporter' created a zip file, you can simply upload that...
This is very unusual, not previously reported with the latest patch......

Hi briest57,
Are you in bug tracking mode ? (You can verify in options/system tab)
However bug reporting will be lighter with next patch, it shall be released soon

.
I'm worried because WIA is released since July 4th and you're the first player with an unplayable version : you bought it on our website ?
Thank you for your answers

Briest57,
A script error is a minor error for WiA, your main issue is that bug reporter seems to freeze your game or your computer.
Bug reporter should only send a mail to our support team.
Before you, this problem never happen and YES we have quality control and good beta testers.
Since July 4th (official release date), you are the first WiA player with this problem ...
