Hi,
In one of my PBEM I manage to get Benedict Arnold win a solid victory that should allow him to be promoted! Great, I thought... well seems like the promotion button hasn't understood you amazing Benedict Arnold is to become now :neener:
I tried to separate super Benedict from his army (though he is chief, so that should'nt be the pb), but that didn't work out neither...
Am I missing something??
Here's the image showing I'm not having some strange fantasy about Mr Arnold:

Hmm, I'm not sure why not..

Can you zip the current turn save game files and upload here?
Then we can look at this puzzle.

Thank you :)

What exactly do you need, because I'm not the host of the game so I only have the .trn...

That complicates things a bit.

Can you show a screenshot of the element detail window fro Arnold? Just to verify the info there?

also, I'd like to know the control and loyalty values of the region he is in...

I'm not sure if Control is required to promote :o

Maybe the game is not promoting him because it knows he will switch sides in 79.

Well maybe it's a loyalty problem, but why couldn't a general be promoted on an hostile land? Are the local farmer demonstrating against it?? :bonk:
Anyway, here are the screens:

His seniority is 3, which is one above his original of 4. A general has to have a seniority that is either 1 or 2, or have a seniority that is at least 4 above his original before you can promote him.

So the initial message telling me he can be promoted is just an error or is it a misleading information from the "fourbe Albion"?

Did you wait? If you don't promote right away, the seniority will go down a notch the turn after (IIRC)
