Hello,

Again, being nit picky. And not a major drama.

Foote vs Foot. 1755-1763 Campaign

I am no expert here, but all my original regiments had Foote.

Just received 1st & 2nd as reinforcements in Halifx and they say Foot.

Also, I would prefer to see:

Bn versus B. for Battalion
Rgt versus R. for Regiment

Not that they have to be changed, just that it more pleasing to the eye.

I'm with you on that one!

Although for "foote" vs "foot" I'm not sure. As I understand it this is old English (but you may correct me). If we're going this way, there would be many more changes to make in order to bring the rest of the text on par. I don't know for the English side, but for the French one there would be plenty of typos, especially considering that some words were written differently by different people.

I believe Paul is only advocating that it be consistent, i.e. either Foot or Foote throughout. :)
