BOA2 - Feature focus : #7 ... And let slip the Songs of War!

If you will recall, BOA1 had only a single musical theme to enjoy during your campaigns in the great wilderness of the original colonies. Good as the single track was, it got to be old fast after a number of games! Some may have even dared to disable the music while playing!

The sound track for WIA will contain no fewer than twelve songs, performed by the US Army's 3rd US Infantry Regiment Fife and Drum Corps.

It is an honor and a privilege that the US Army has consented to provide us with assistance on creating WIA. Beyond just the music performed by the "Old Guard", we had the pleasure of meeting some very warm and wonderful civilians, officers, and NCOs who are connected with the Public Affairs Office.

Through our discussions with the Army, we impressed upon them that our product line is more than just games. We offer highly accurate and educational recreations of the much celebrated history of the USA and its armed forces.

We trust that these selections performed by The "Old Guard" will add greatly the game's ambiance and your immersion while playing.

As you plan your moves, you'll be hearing several FIW or AWI classics among the recordings:

Baroquasaurus
Captain O'Kain
Drowsey Maggie
O'Farrell's
Paddy O'Rafferty
Panda Bear
Royal American Medley
Songs of War
Spirit of America
The Boys of Bluehill
Two Sided Show
Yankee Doodle

For those who would like to learn more about The "Old Guard", Official Ceremonial Unit and Escort to the President:

We would especially like to thank the following individuals for making this possible:

Deputy Director of Public Affairs Adrienne M. Combs, Joint Force Headquarters, US Military
Master Sergeant Kanessa Trent, Public Affairs Office, US Army
Major Joel Lindeman, 3rd US Infantry Regiment, US Army
AGE Studio Business Advisor, Mark "MarkShot" Kratzer (for handling negotiations and acting as liaison)

Additionally, the sound effects library has been expanded with 30 all new environmental sounds for a more diverse gaming experience.

All AGEOD games have let you turn off the music if you like; see no reason why this should be any different :)

(Personally, I'm with Korrigan, though ;) )
