BOA2 - feature focus : #1 more than 1,300,000 km² added

The first feature of note in BOA2 is the map.
While keeping the artistic look and feel of the BOA one, it has been expanded toward the West and the South, so that we can cover more wars in North America.
The new map adds more than 1.300.000 km² of land and seas, translating into 50% more surface coverage than the original BOA. And this is without counting the new off map boxes dealing with Europe and the new naval emphasis portrayed in the sequel (more on that later).
Big parts of Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi river are there and are now fully playable theaters (like in the 1779 Galvez Campaign scenario).
Great Lakes are also there in their full glory!

Shouldn't this rather read "compared to BOA1"?

Is Gibraltar displayed as a separate region of Spain? If no, why, if yes, why?

(what, I can't ask questions??)

Grrrrrrrrrrr

Gibraltar is a separate region of Spain, owned by English.
It's historic and permit us to imagine a small European theater.

Is it possible to highlight the region increase when compared to BOA1 ? I haven't got BOA so i am curious to see the comparison between BOA and BOA2 maps

Screen looks great, and it looks like you have thought of expandeability too.
In the future, could you please also publish a comparison screen at max zoom? That way will be easier to imagine the overall scope of the map (for ppl who have not yet played BOA 1).
Bring on those updates ..

Probably not, as usual

Hey, their heads are all different sizes! Hmm, BoA wasn't like that, was it? Israel Putnam looks a bit odd next to Artemas Ward

Oh, thats great news. Thought that I am the only translation-only-nerd in the beta group.

Actually this is an icon to help survive BoA-addicts. It just lights up once every 24 hours telling you that you have to get something to eat. Since it was implemented, the drop-out rate of beta-testers decreased significantly.
(However, it appears to me, that you don't need this icon if you are married.

Married players get this icon on their screens after a set period of time:
which, if you don't quit the game and put in some quality time with your spouse, triggers:

I found some interesting information on this website
http://www.leqg.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=68&t=5802.
Now, my French is a little rusty but, I found this description of the game particularly interesting "
la limite c'est l'imagination" (the limit is your imagination).
Of particular interest to this thread is post #6 on the above site.

Having recently purchased NCP, I notice it has four types of navigable water, shallow, river, coastal and ocean. Much like a suggestion I made here a while back. (Great minds...)
will these four types be supported by the new BoA map?
