As a newbie to WiA I had some difficulty to grasp strategic situation at the beginning of grand campaign scenarios. In-game map is eye candy and it is great for playing once you memorize all strategic and objective cities, towns and provinces.

Unfortunately, just because of a map size and inability to zoom-out beyond certain level inside game, it can be hard to get a quick grasp of overall situation. In order to help myself and other new players I have created map with clearly marked strategic towns and provinces, depot locations and major roads and rivers. If you like and find useful this strategic map, please say thanks.

Also, I made large planning map (at maximum in-game zoom out level) with symbols representing towns, cities, forts, major roads, strategic locations and depots. Please, let me know if someone needs this version and I will upload it.

This map should be used for showing AAR too, as often we understand hardly what's the actual strategy of the players.

Very nice! had tried putting something similar together for aacw, but I gave up after a while and just used an actual rather than in-game map. This, though, is fantastic!

Ok guys, thank you for praising. Here is a part of larger map for planning purposes. Whole map (4425 x 4610 Pixels) is in attachment.

I'm intending to make similar map for War of Independence scenario (and possibly for AACW). So, if you have any comments or suggestions please post them here.

I have created new French and Indian War Strategic Map (v2.0). This map was made by using new set of symbols (same as used for my RUS, AJE and AACW strategic maps). I think new version is better, but I will leave old map just in case someone maybe prefer old map more then this one.

Here is a sample part of a new map. You may compared it to same map sample of an old version (see post #8):
