Where are saved game files stored?

My apologies in advance for such a basic question, but where are the saved game files stored? I loked in the obvious placed, the "C:\Program Files\Wars in America\WIA\Saves" but the folder appears empty. I'd like to copy my current game save over to my laptop to continue the game on the road, if I can only find the file. Are the saved games stored in the "My Documents" folder somewhere, or are they elsewhere else in the WIA folder?

If you are running Vista or Win 7, the saves are located in your Username folder somewhere. (not sure where, see next sentence)
Because of this, I always install games in a directory NOT part of Program Files. Saves are then stored with the program as in Windows XP or earlier....

With W7 I have found a lot of files here (although it sometimes appears random to me at least).
C:\users\"username"\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)
I REALLY don't like W7!
Cheers, Chris

Thanks for the quick response guys. Yep, I'm using Windows 7 and installed WIA in the default location. The saves were right where Hobbes indicated. Thanks again. The support available on these forums, even long after release, is always impressive.
