PBeM Proposal

Gents: :D

I am looking for all interested players who would be willing to join a Blitz Club BoA2 ladder?

I believe assigning BoA2 to a Blitz game ladder would help in recruiting better quality PBeM opponents and allow players to receive recognition (i.e. rankings) for their victories. It would also introduce a rule framework and dispute procedure for game matches.

Currently, players can search for BoA2 opponents on the AGEOD forums. However; it is "too easy" for PBeM opponents to just "fade away" after several turns with no consequences for their actions... and nothing tangible left for the other player who invested his time into the match?

I have been in contact with the Blitz site coordinator and he is willing to set-up a BoA2 ladder provided he sees some tangible evidence of player interest in the game and a willingness to play the game at the Blitz.

So... all interested players who would be willing to join a Blitz Club BoA2 ladder, please respond to this thread!

BTW... I've been a member of the Blitz for 3 years... and its a great club with a great bunch of folks!

That sounds interesting. Unfortunately, I'm a single player addict, and although I might try PBEM sometime this would be too much of a stretch for me.

Good luck anyway!

I would be happy to join (I'm already in the Blitz Campaign Series ladder) but I wont get time for a PBEM for a few months as I am working on new BoA2 scenarios at the moment.

Cheers, Chris

After exchanging a half dozen turns (every 1-2 days) with an individual... I've not had any communication from this PBeM opponent for nearly two weeks. A real life example of the "fade away" player? And an example of why a Blitz Club BoA2 ladder is needed?
