I'm having trouble with NCP and AACW with the map scrolling. It starts OK and then gets very sticky. Eventually I have to wait ages for one stack to do anything.

I have my screen resolution on 1024x768. I have a Geforce4 MX440. I have an AMD Athlon Processor 1.83 GHz, 512 MB RAM.

I'm guessing it might be my graphics card but I'd appreciate any thoughts on it as the issue is making the game hard to play, which is a shame because it looks good.

That's the problem indeed, you are under the minimum specification, so although the game is running, it is 'barely' running. If you can, I suggest you seek a more modern video card.

And 1GB of RAM sure will improve things a lot.
