Naval battles in 1.02c?

I don't think naval units are engaging in 1.02c, Or, if it is working correctly, the rate of engagements is very, very low. I just played a test turn of Trafalgar, and where there should have been three engagements, there were none, and I received no '...retreated before' or '..failed to engage' messages in the log. The combat section was empty.
I haven't seen one naval engagement yet in 1.02c, btw.
I have the trafalgar save, uncompressed though. Should see the same behavior just running through the scenario.

I think you are right, it's the same in "Finland 1808".
I played the 2 sides and I never see naval fight although I'm looking for fighting.

Strange, Pocus didn't have change some rules about naval engagement in 1.02c, I think.
Before that patch, battles were common and tweaked to produce even better boarding combat results.

I'll check that, but as Adlertag says nothing was done on this aspect. Do you have tweaked the engagement delay?

Dear Pocus I have got similar results playing the Trafalgar Scenario:I could assemble the whole french and spanish and even the Holland squadron in a giant fleet. But as I tried to catch Nelson he nearly escaped everytime without battle and combat message. So I lose the war in VPs.The same happened to me with the Invasion scenario.I assembled the fleet and get no engagement.I have changed nothing in the options.I then stopped playing until the next patch and are playing now AACW.

Here I think it is rather normal in this case concerning Nelson, but the reverse should demonstrate that Nelson is very capable of intercepting Spanish/French fleets which would result to severe punishment for them (I tested it in former version of NCP with French fleets and was very often unable to escape Nelson interception near Cadix).
So if the last situation isn't true, here is the problem...

I check my engagement delay. I was in medium. I modify to immediat engagement and I try again.
I take all swedish fleet in gulf of kronstad with attack option.
I stay 20 turns with the russian fleet in this position without any fighting.
To help you in your research:
Patrol points : 171
Ennemy patrol points : 48 (it fall to 1, 10 turns after)
"Evitement" points : 1
j'ai rajouté ma sauvegarde (la situation a un peu changé mais il n'y a tjrs pas de combat naval).

My engagement delay is set to medium, but, it always was-I also always reset all my options after patching. Back in the 1.01's , my biggest naval problem was running out of ammo!..I'm not sure where this bug crept in..From 1.02 on I was playing more land based stuff..I'm NOT saying it's a new bug in 1.02c, I have no evidence of that, rather, I just now noticed it in 1.02c after playing the Russo-Sweden scenario..It's definately there now, though. I can play a whole game of Trafalgar as British, and not see one naval battle.

This is now fixed in the new patch. Thanks all for the reports.
