Not sure if the is WAD, but it is different from every other option. The Historical Attrition setting does not seem to be saved between game loads. I go into options, change the setting to Historical, save. I then go back in and it is still set on historical. I exit the game, reload and it is back to standard.

The correct key is HardAttrition in the file NCP\general.opt, but the game save 'Attrition'. If you edit it manually, your setting will be saved.

As you can guess, a patch was planned soon anyway

I think it is "HardAttrition" that needs to be changed to "Attrition." That it how I got it to work.
