As the the topic say.

Something is wrong.
The tutorial or the function/mapping on the UI.
Decide for yourself

The globe in my game will open at least not the ledger but the main menu.

The tutorial is wrong.
As the tooltip states, the globe brings you back to the "main menu" and the book (just right of the map-filter-buttons) opens the ledger ;)
No big deal.

Unusual sloopy product support.

No, no big deal.
But why this "small deal" and other "small deals" were not long ago patched?

Shoddy product support.
In my experience, unusual for AGEOD.

On the contrary I think that because NCP has been patched, it introduced the problem: the tooltip has been updated 'generized' from the common file, but now the Tutorial is out of synch. Tutorials were done by volunteers that are now gone to others skies, and our resources are so stretched that we don't have the manpower to update tutorials or manuals of past games. Sorry about that.

Would you like to volunteer to do the "cleanup"?

I'll gladly give you pointers and compile your results into the next patch.. :)

No, I don´t want to.
And either I can´t.

Everything I say, what bothers me and what also surprised me is:
if a computer layman as I discovered errors in the first few minutes of playing, then these errors are not hidden deep and far in the system so they have to be discovered by many experienced players over time.

So I don´t understand why those "easy-to-find and recognize" errors weren´t already fixed after all these years, and all these patches.

You have made your point in multiple posts now. The game you are talking about is one of the oldest games in the AGE system. Most other software developers drop support of their games after only a year or two or even charge you for patch/updates in the form of expansions. The main reason AACW was kept updated far longer than the other games was because of interested player/gamer voluntary cooperation along with a very dedicated coordinator.

I already politely explained to you in another thread how the AGEod design and update process works with voluntary cooperation of your fellow player/gamers. You are one of those player/gamers. If you are that interested in the cleanup of the game, then by all means learn to do the work as other dedicated volunteer player/gamers before you have done. You might actually find it quite informative and interesting as to how game design and patching works. :)

@ Gray Lensman,

Oops, I hope I don´t appear as an ignorant or a troublemaker.

With post #6 I just wanted to make it clear again just what went through my head.

Yes I know that other software developer support their games only for a year. If they support at all for a whole year.
And yes, I´ve read your statements in another thread and I understand the situation now.

As I said I wanted to make it clear again only.
Written words and sentences are often misunderstood. :)
If I´ve now wasted ýour time again, then I'm sorry.
