Patch 6 Installed and Game won't recognize Serial Numer

I just installed the 6.0 patch and now on starting the game it asks for my serial number. The serial number is already in the field so I hit ok. After a few seconds the game takes me back to the serial number screen, so I try copying the number from my files. That doesn't work either and the game eventually says that the serial number doesn't match the expected length and closes. All with the same number I've been using for years! Any suggestions?

Hm. Dunno. I'm kind of looking around for an earlier patch both here and on my pc. I know the game was patched at least up to 1.03 or 1.04, if memory serves. I'm a little hazy on what the foundation patch is to tell the truth but I'm almost sure I remember installing it edit: or maybe checking it out and deciding not to install it. In fact I deleted an earlier patch when I just DL'd the newest one.

I was just looking around a bit more, and it seems that the foundation patch was only supposed to be needed for a game the was installed from CD? Am I wrong? My copy's a digital download and it was certainly patched several times. I'm not sure if I went from 1.05 to 1.06. Like I said above maybe from 1.03 to 1.06.

I managed to find the copy of the game I downloaded and some old patches. Reinstalled and it works fine. Thanks for your help.
