After getting a new hard drive and copy of windows and changing nothing else on my PC, the game does not load or even run the inital start up, just rotates in the drive and then forces my windows explorer to crash and me to force shut down the machine.
They installed just fine when I had my old hard drive, any thoughts?
I am running XP btw.

Send a PM to Pocus for help. Also try to copy the disk content on a folder on your HD (if it works), then install from there.
If nothing else works, we shall send you a download link for installing without the CD.

If you have reinstalled Windows, isn't that a fairly large change?

To me, this sounds like you might have some larger issues; NCP shouldn't be able to crash your Explorer and it really shouldn't be able to force you to shut down your machine.
Are you having other problems besides getting NCP to install?

It's the same verion of windows I had prior and service pack.
I am having issues installing NCP and Matrix games, but my HPS and other games/programs install just fine. No other issues w/the system at all.

Ok the dxdiag I can export to a .txt file correct? Where do I find the mainlog file at? I thought I saw a post about it prior, but can not seem to find it now.
Thanks!

Steps up to the stand....
I'd like to thank the help of all those whom offered suggestions and to Philippe for helping me on AGEOD's support. We have found a solution and I am thankful. I enjoy NCP a lot and will in time buy other AGEOD games.
Thanks again!
PS - Please make more Napoleonic games...
