Is there a way to view opposition forces in detail after finishing a scenario (it would be nice to see how much they are hurting ) - I tried to change the fog of war setting, but could still not access enemy troops in detail.

Its very easy! Just load the last game turn as the other side.
On the Load game menu you should see a little icon (up and on the right) wich let you see the save games of both sides (french/coalition) and load what you want at any time (even in the middle of the scenario)
