Yeah, I'm starting with the smaller and easier Campaigns, but I can't wait to jump into Russia and Spain. I almost dread sending my wonderful French forces into those hellish lands.

Great game Philippe (plural)! The graphics and operational(Corps) warfare work well together. Keep up the good work!

I tried and failed spectacularly. Barclay destroeyed the right wing near Smolensk, Bagration ran amok in Poland, and Napoleon died in the siege of Moscow.

The AI is better than ever - surprise attacks, outflanking, cavalry raids, capturing my depots, ganging up on my forces at the least expected point, etc.
A victory against the AI comes as a real achievement.
BRAVO!!!!!

Syt, Ouch! I am sure that my first venture onto the steppes will meet with similar fortune.

I haven't figured out the trick to the russian campaign -- yet! I am learning however to limit my advance and keep plenty of troops in reserve to protect supply lines. If you don't, then you'll have cossaks wrecking your supply lines and grabbing towns/forts like crazy.
Very enjoyable to say the least!

Playing the Union against an aggressive CSA opponent who loves to send raiders in ACW seems it might be good prep for the 1812 Campaign!

In this case at Smolensk, Barclay did a better job than historically...

I'm inclined to suspect that I did a worse job than historically.
