As I posted in the pre-order thread, hoping it helps:
Looking at two different download links:
- one is the email in my web based mailbox (Firefox browser)
- one is the same email downloaded by Outlook
One link is
http://www.ageod.telechargement.fr/dl.html?MAIL=[PersonalData]&Langue=EN
(Download link works - from webbased mailbox)
The same link in Outlook:
http://www.ageod.=telechargement.fr/dl.html?MAIL=[PersonalData]&Langue==EN
Notice the additional "=" in the URL screwing the link up.

Never had the email but the game is downloading even as I write. Was lucky enough to preorder when I got home from work today clicked on the download button more in hope than thinking it would work but lo and behold it began to download.

Also, you can enter your email and download code here:
http://www.ageod.telechargement.fr/tele.html
Though the download code is not spelt out in the email.

Happily Downloading
File size is 798MB. My DSL connection will take about 2 and 1/2 hours to download. Since I have to work nights tomorrow I will have to stay up and play

Oh well guess I'll just force myself to do what must be done

Hobbes any luck yet? I used the link in Korrigans thread on this board to get things moving

I'm not having much luck it says :-
You will find your access code in the confirmation of order you received by email.
I can see a reference number and an order number but it's doesn't seem to accept either of those. Am I missing an access code somewhere else.
The other links don't seem to work for me.
Cheers, Chris

Syt's explanation fixed the link for me (thanks). Downloading now.

What is that actual access code. I mean, where does it appear? I've tried everything and still I get an error saying I am not in the data base. Is the code what would normally be put in for access to the actual game once downloaded, or is it this and more.
Whoever is doing all this is making things very difficult.

My email contained a order number and then below an activation serial number but because I used Korrigans link and got lucky with the timming I did not have to use either I just began the download straight from the screen after I had finnished ordering sorry I can not help out.

Just looked again there is also a ref number to the left of the games name maybe that has something to do with your problem

I've tried the ref num, the order num and the long activation number (which seems far too long for the little access code box) none of these work.
Damn!

Syt was kind enough to post a link to the page where you can enter your e-mail address and access code to get the download.
Now, thanks to Gmail, it was a little tricky to retrieve my access code:
I had to open the letter as a text file. There you can find the link which contains your e-mail address and code. Beware, though, that for me there were two characters ("3D") in front of both my address and code.
Downloading now.

How did you open the gmail mail in a text file? I tried to copy-paste, but it came out just about the same.

The download button above the following:
Congratulations James, you can pre-download Napoleon's campaigns . You'll be able to play as of Midnight on November 14 (GMT+1)!
Activation Code: Ageod : Les campagnes de Napoleon / Napoleon's campaigns
works for me!

I know I'm probabaly not helping any and it's got to be frustrating but did you recieve a invoice email when you first pre ordered the game I got an invoice email and a email with the download link looking at the invoice email the order number is different perhaps it may be you use the order number from the invoice and not the download link order number

Here is what I did:
In my email the Download button is a box with a red X and the word "Telecharger" (Hotmail with IE7)
Right click the box and Open in a New Window. You will get a "Internet Explorer cannot display the web page"", that's Ok, don't worry.
In the new window, look in the address bar, you will see the URL, your email address "MAIL=" and a "C=(Code string)"
Enter that code string and it should work.
Worked for me, downloading now (very slowly, 80KB/sec).

I saved it to desktop and opened it with notepad but it just seems a mess of HTML, I'm non the wiser.
There is not actually anywhere where it says "access code" then?
Cheers, Chris

In a 45 minute period I am 27% done with the download. All you guys need to hurry up so that the server isn't so busy

This is the slowest download ever

It would be nice if we could get some official word on how to do this. Nothing I've tried so far works. The red x thing in gmail doesn't work, as right-clicking does not allow the option to open in a new window.
I went to gmail and checked the source of the email and say some stuff, but I wasn't sure what to exclude from the link.

Okay, I got it to work. I opened up in gmail through view source, went down a bit where there was a web site with my name and all within it, copy-pasted the entire link (minus the quotes), and was able to gain access to the download. I'm getting a paltry 54 kb/sec, which will take 4 hours.
But I'm off to work soon, so at least I'll have it when I return.
All in all, a bad way to do things. It should've been much easier to download than it turned out to be.

Luckily, my download has gone smoothly. Slow but smoothly. Three minutes to go. I agree, it was a bit of a strange way to do things.

Dear players,
As for myself I can't help you with the download interface (I don't have access to this part of the business, this is delegated to the external e-vendor company) but know that a mail has been sent to all the interested persons about your issues. I hope a fix or an explaination will be provided to you as soon as possible.

The link was screwed in Mozilla Thunderbird as well, but I was able to extract it manually from the source text and then i put it manually in firefox.
Downloading now.
I made an entry error at the end of the link (language part), so I am downloading from the french download interface, but I think english will be available in the game as well.
Regards
Motomouse
The download provider should not asume everybody is using MS, or he will be out of luck soon ;-)
P.S. english version received as intended :-)
Playing right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CU later alligator

Downloaded with no problems here, at nearly 200kb/s. One question, no PDF tutorial included as it was with AACW?
