Amphibious landing

Hello! This is a noob question but... how do i trasport troops by sea into an enemy region?
I was starting to play the invasion of england scenario, and i tried to move some armies from boulogne to dover.
The only thing that worked was to move some armies tab onto the flotte tab, to "merge" them, but when i tried to disembark them i found a huge "frech force" in which all the OOB was lost.. and i had to reconstruct everything from scratch with awful results
I tried to disembark only the corps leader but that didn't work..
Is there a right way to do an amphibious landing without loosing the strutcure of corps, etc?
