I'd like giving a glance to Napoleon's Campaign Demo v1.04b.
Is it to be patched?

No, patches are only for the full game. They would cause problems with the demo.
This 1.04b is a pretty actualized demo, done over a recent version of the game. You should have no problems with it
There was a previous 1.00 demo with some bugs.
