Oh wow! Amazing Nikel :coeurs: - I was going to give it another shot myself this weekend- honest :) Thanks so much - they will come in very useful.
Church looks much better than I imagined he would.

I have a picture of Pieter Schuyler which looks quite close to what the game
needs so I will at least make an attempt myself this weekend.

Hi Nikel, I'm still struggling with resizing - I seem to make the canvas smaller but not the image. I have however discovered how to add hair to existing portraits - so I have had some limited success today.

Image

Image

I only need to make another five or six leaders so maybe the easiest thing would be if I post them all when I am finished and you or another kind person could resize them into Army units for me - if this is possible from these units  (I'll need to avoid using the same hair for all of them though :) )

Cheers, Chris
P.S. Schuyler didn't work out - could you make anything of this image? I think it may be too small.

This is a very nic trick indeed :coeurs:

Nikel, I keep forgetting that there is probably not enough chest to easily rezise Unit images to Army. Probably easiest if I just make the same change to both images - unless you have some brilliant way of doing it quickly.

Cheers, Chris

EDIT: Maybe the extra chest isn't that important for the Army version - some images seem to have more chest some don't.

Thanks very much Nikel. I wasn't sure if it was me or if Schuyler was too small - I thought he probably was.

I'll post a few more soon in case you get the time to resize them - but I will make another attempt myself at the weekend.
If I fail again I will post some screens of what I am doing and maybe you can spot where I am going wrong.

Thanks, Chris

A few more if you get time - but I will try again at the weekend and post what I'm doing (when I fail :) )
I wonder if the Trader unit would look a little better if he was a shade darker - like the ranger unit you changed?

P.S. I have a new Portneuf - the last one has become Clermont.

I can't thank you enough Nikel - I would really be struggling to do this without your help! The darker one is much better I think. :coeurs:
I'll keep the lighter one for the English traders and the darker for the Coureur des Bois.

Thanks, Chris

One last favour for this week. Can you also make the Unit image darker as well.

Hi Nikel, I actually managed to resize a portrait! I don't think I did anything differently to my previous efforts though

Pontiac's grandad, Kancamagus. I'm still stuggling with the resize - just spent 20 minutes trying to get this right - it looks OK but not quite right.
I thought it would be easier to post and hope somebody can find the time to make an army model in the next week or two :bonk:

There were some pixels from the other portrait background in the hair. I think that looks better now :)

Thanks Nikel - I made a post about that and then deleted it as I thought I should take a look myself first to try and work out why the pixels were there.

You're a star! :winner:

I'm still updating a few of the existing portaits :-

Vaudreuil no longer has big collars (It seems big collars were not the thing in 1689 - I'm still learning). If anyone notices anything out of period like that about any of the images please let me know - although I can only make small changes.

Image

Ourehaoue is looking meaner :)
Not a man to bump in to in a dark alleyway - or a New England forest.

Image

Cheers, Chris
P.S. I'm not asking for army images of these - I have updated the army image manually.

No weird pixels! (Inside Cowass - there must be a cheap gag there).

Hi Nikel, (or anyone else that can help)

I have completed the leader portraits I need for King William's War :-

Now I need to try and resize them.

Three screenshots below to show what I am doing :-

In the first I cut the Unit image.

Image

I then paste this into an empty Army canvas :-

Image

I will then remove the remains of the oval and realign it
(which takes me a lot of trial and error - going into the game and looking at the image to see how it fits into the Army counter and making adjustments).

Even though the Army image is smaller than the Unit after this process it doesn't seem small enough compared to other Army graphics. Example below.

Image

The parameters are pretty similar but the face of my graphic is much larger.
Any idea where I am going wrong?

Thanks, Chris

Here they are.

Note that I have not tested them in the game so probably you will have to retouch a bit ;)

Well I posted the images in the hope that you might do this Nikel - I'm always amazed at how quickly you can resize :)

Is there an obvious problem with the way I try and do it myself - or should I pay more attention to the instructions you have already posted?

Many many thanks Nikel!

You have to resize to around 44 x 64 pixels that is the size of the portrait without any background. And then add some colored pixels in the bottom margins :)

Thanks Nikel, I'll give it a go. Still don't know how you can get rid of the oval and add these extra pixels so quickly! :)

By the way, will you finally start with the PW when you finish WIA moddng? :D

Oh right - a mysterious dark art! :)

I have been attempting the 'final' Pontiac test for a few months - but every time I do so I run into a bug or two :(
Two are at the moment awaiting Pocus' return.

It's my top priority - I really need to finish with it. King William's War is just a scenario I do while waiting for WiA fixes.

Cheers, Chris
