Duplicate Generals

I have adjusted the timing that some of the generals show up as I play the 1861 Full Theater Campaign. I am not sure this is it, but playing as the CSA, I moved David Jones from the 1862 pool to the 1861 pool since he participated in the Battle of Manassas. Now when I get to January 1862, Edward Johnson shows up twice. Have I forgot a step and is there some way to prevent this. Thanks for the help
