Funny dialogue box

While playing AACW v1.12aRC5 using the SVF mod, I have had an unusual message box appear several times. After I click to begin executing the turn, a box appears that just has a big question mark on it, and then three buttons to click below, no text on them at all. If I click the left-most button, the one highlighted when the box appears, the game crashes to desktop. If I push the middle button, nothing appears to happen. If I push the rightmost button (sometimes I have to push it more than once), the turn appears to process normally. I tried repatching and deleting and reinstalling the mod but this is still happening.
I will try and see if it does it with vanilla.
[edit] Ran a couple of turns with vanilla and it didn't do it so it must be a problem with the mod. Can somebody move this post to the mod directory? sorry.
