Late-Game mod?

A while ago there was some buzz about someone creating a mod that extended Great Invasions into the Medieval Era? Has anyone heard anything about it?

We could examine the old forum, seeking all posts (one by one) where somebody speaks about a AD 1066 scenario. Once found, I could try to get back his email address, hoping he will answer.
But... even if he answers, I do not know how much work he did before giving up the task.
So I guess it's better that somebody else (a good willing boy!
) starts the task again.
On my side, I'm overwhelmed by job affairs, and I have no time for GI modding, sorry!

Though there's almost no chance of this mod being picked up again, when was the mod supposed to end, 1066-?
