(OK I might get blasted for this but here goes lol)
I like this game....but I have never been one to come on a forumn and just gush over a game to make the sales people happy....I call it as I see it n I have some real issues with this game.
Not to the point I am unhappy with it mind you...I luv turned baised strategy (as we are a dying breed face it) and a few (mind you only a few RT strategy games) as most just seem to be a clicky click mouse race (thats NOT strategy :-p )
Ok the question is what ONE n just one thing would you change to improve this game?
I could go down a whole bi&ch list if I wanted to....but it would seem as I dont like the game and I do applaud them for trying to fill our nitch; of us smaller breed of war gamers; that seems to be getting lost in all the consol box and doom clones flooding the market :p
But back to the question
1. Ummm what fustrates me is even though I can see a unit in the roster....I cant just ZOOM to it...like in some game interfaces....unless I am missing something I have to read where the dang thing is (historical location) and go manually find it....UGGGGGGHHHH.....also in this same interface change maybe zoom to all the new units built instead of some blurb they were built or again manually (uggghh) picking them out.
the scope of the sheer number of units is overwhelming....i love it, but a little help here?

If I understand you correctly:
in the roster, click on the 'NATO' symbol of any unit and it will exit the roster and go to the location.

Finding new units capability continues to be discussed.....

yeah I missed that....but still needs a zoom to new units so my bi%ch was correct lol.....like to know what others think, exactly as IS or what would you design different?

Ok you guys like it exactly as is lol....hmmm what one thing do you like best then?

1. For me definitly the art-work....your playing board is definitly a masterpiece. The rich textures of the land and layout is easily as good as Sid's in his Civ series (hmm 4 now I think...or 5 or 6? :p ) N the units are pretty cool too....especially the ironclads.

Ok you guys have to have considered a WWII version of your game engine here....right?
OMG that would be so awsome to see your rendition of Tigers and T-34's fighting in the snow of the Russian front...Id buy your version just to see that for sure.
If they were the same great textures you used on this game it would be great for sure.

I've been playing the Total War series for years, and I do like the tactical involvement of fighting your own battles, however the campaign strategy is less strong. However just think how cool it would be to form your divisions then fight it out in real time. I do miss it and regularly switch between ACW and Medieval Total War II.
There is currently no Civil war title like it, just think of the $$$$$. :sourcil:

Yeah I tottaly love that series and they will be including a CW option in their newest release Empire (looks like vapor-ware now tho, suppose to be out already :fleb: )

But back to our game at hand....hmmm I thought about the tactical option, n just dont think it would be a good idea here as it would be just TOO overwhelming as they really cover so much already without it.

In Tottal war for instance, you have no way to combine units into different divisions and corps and doesnt even take those factors into consideration.....1 leader 1 effect is all you get in TW and thats FAR from historically accurate.
