Co-ordinating attacks

Is there ever going to be a way to co-ordinate attacks a little better. I am refering to timing forces to attack from different directions on the same day. Not refering to the "marching to the sound of guns".

for instance if you have a corps that will attack from alexandria to manassas on day 4 of next turn, but have another force that will attack from the west and it will be there say 4 days later on day 8. Would it not be nice to have a option that can delay the first corps attack to day 8? maybe a small pull down menu or something if you click on the destination circle and date?

Nope. The closest you get is that armies and corps starting movement in the same region can synchronize their move.

That would be a nice addition but considering the time period it makes sense to no allow such well cooridinated attacks especially when marching so many days to get there.

In HOI II I loved the cooridinated attacks like scheduling an air strike 1 hour, an hour later scheduling the armor to attack and then bringing in the infantry after that. But in WWII the communications were a lot better than horse and letters.

What I do if I am able to wait a turn is get all my units about a region apart and encircle the enemy and attack the following turn. Doesn't always work, especially if they move out of the area or attack you first but what can ya do ;-)

After reading "Eye Witness to the Civil War" i guess thats more realistic alright. there were a lot of timing "blunders" in RL. I was thinking along the lines of HOI2 as well.
