Yes, it's possible. This is the way Pocus uses to test the AI and the patches

How does one go about getting that to happen? All I see is, after you select the scenario, the only options you have are to be Abraham Lincoln or Jefferson Davis. Thanks in advance!

I imagine that if you don't issue any orders, the game will instruct the AI to make orders for your side in addition to making the orders it usually does for your (computer) opponent?

I think you can enable the AI vs. AI mode by adding AllAI = 1 to the General.opt.
I have however no ideas about possible side effects.

Good answer from Primasprit. The game will ignore the ord files generated by players in this case.

Unfortunately, his answer doesn't seem to be working for me. Where should I put the AllAI = 1?

Location of the file is: AACW-directory\ACW\Settings\General.opt

where you want within the file. Also the command will only works if you are in full debug (error loging mode, see Options/System)

Sadly, even after turning on error logging mode, I can't get it to work...how many spaces should there be between the AllAI and the equals sign, and the same for between the equals sign and the 1? (the other options all seem to have different numbers of spaces between the last letter in their text and their equals signs, and it isn't a tab either)...Again, thanks in advance, and I hate to be a total pain...

nb of spaces have no importance. I answered to your PM too.

One thing I discovered, also, is that Fog of War also needs to be off for this to work. Once I turned it off, the AllAI command worked just fine. Thanks to everybody!
