Maybe Pocus would want to sticky this for us to keep it updated?

That said, let me add on the 1st Tennessee Cavalry:

It appears that your supply train is also doubled.

Good eye. Never even thought to look.

I would need to know which scenario and at which turn you got the doubling if possible, this is perhaps a scripting error. If this is not, then it can be a problem in the database.

All posts from me are Campaign Game. I'll be alert to which turn they appear from now on. It's early enough that I can replay through a bunch of turns (without playing - just hit the turn advance) and keep checking forces. I'll do that when I get a chance and report back.

Not actually a double unit, but when Belle Boyd gets arrested [Full Campaign] the event is listed twice in the Mail Box.

That would be a doubled event lookup, somewhere in either the ACW or AGE text files. Easy to find - just get the wording of the event (or use the name) and search either file for it.

Note the two units tabs in the unit panel for the 'Knoxville Force'

1st Reserve Bde either starts the game or comes in during first turn or two as reinforcement. Second version arrives later in Virginia Reserve Group (shown in pic)

Feb. 1863. And I get a stack of free militia units in various states. Trouble is some of these units have already come into play. They are no longer militia but trained up to infantry now.
But these guys will eventually train up as well. Surely they can be named differently or is this intended?

Yes. These units come in the second time as "reformed". Indicating - to me - that they had at some point previously, been disbanded by an event or something ... only they had not, so we end up with doubles.

Noticed something interesting.

When I merged the 1st Reserve Bde (VA) in Richmond into the second command that also shows up later with a 1st Reserve Bde, one of them vanishes. Not sure how that will help you.

However, I noticed that if I did the same thing with the 1st Tennessee Cavalry, one of the supply units vanishes (IIRC), but neither of the cavalry units vanishes. HOWEVER, one of the cavalry units changes its image! :tournepas

Pocus, here's the issue, as found in VariousEvents.sct. The original units are created via CSAEvents.sct.

Custer obviously did not write the code for this one?I had a warped notion to send all those injuns to Virginia just to see if Custer showed up on the Rappahanock?

I was playing a Union Campaign with version 1.03 thats the version that came with my hardcopy. (ordered about a month ago) I found that I had Reynolds commanding a Corps in one area and a division in another. Same with Sedgewick.

*Lots* of stuff has been fixed since 1.03, possibly even the duplicates you mention (haven't checked, though), Why not patch up to the current patch? :)

Also double: 2nd PA Brigade (7th, 8th, 9th PA Volunteers) arrives as part of Patterson's command in PA and also with Humphrey's in WV.

I think that with the Pa. volunteers its the names that are duplicated rather than the units. you should have 13 brigades of Volunteers after that event plus you get another in Maryland after the martial law event.

I'm playing with a modded setup ( Ohio troops in W.Va. instead of Pa. and different commander names) so I havent seen that for a while.

The Iwoa regt in Baltimore I think is because the brigade raised after the martial law event only has 2 regts and the game cant find a Maryland Light Infantry to fill the space so it uses 1st available, the brigade should presumably also be the 2nd MD Bde. or The Maryland Volunteers.

Just an update under 1.10a, the Indian units are still being "reformed" even though the originals are still on the map. It happens during the Early March 1862 turn. Let me know if you need a save.
