make division HQ buildable by states

I really like the whole command and control aspect of the game, the only problem however is that when i build a division HQ they always arrive in Montgomery (alabama) it takes an enormous amount of time to rail/riverine these to all the outskirts of the confederacy. I would like to be able to build them by states so that you can partly influence where they will arrive (and it would be more historically correct).
The same could be argued for army HQ's

I agree. When playing as the Union, the HQs appear in Washington DC only. It can take forever to send an HQ to Missouri or Illinois.

Or at least get them built in both capitals, cause DC is close to the front while Montgomery ain't... quite unfair to the CSA...

They are. You're playing the April 61 campaign. The CSA capital wasn't in Richmond in April of 61. Soon you'll be getting all that stuff in Richmond.

If not state built, then at least in Regions like shipping! I agree, trying to figure out where to rail HQ's out of the capitol each turn is kind of a pain...

They could be built by region like ships and they cost way too much and take much too long to build. At most a division HQ would have a few wagons. There's no need for a high war supplies cost or manpower cost.

you already brought the subject on the table Chris... The answer is still the same, this is for gameplay purpose. Having a proper chain of command with Army HQ and Division HQ is a tremendous advantage, so you have to find a cost for that. If not, why just not giving away all HQs?
Beside that, you can see the HQ as the place where all the logistic staff dwell (postal service, telegraph, some pioneers, whatever you want). So it is so unrealistic? A division is not a general, one horse and a gathering of various elements.

Almost on the subject.
I find moving dozens of units individually Across several states(screens) to where they are needed tedious after a while, although I like them building in their appropriate states.
Could a button be added which sends units to a few major centres if wanted. For local defence of course I am happy to control individually.
Perhaps,Washinton,St.Louis,Louisville for the Union.
RichmondnChattanooga,Memphis for CSA
I always need to move many units from the deep south to help defend Memphis ,Nashville and Richmond for instance.
Hope that convoluted explanation is understandable.
I am sorry, perhaps this should go in the wishlist.I Guess I'm getting past it ,too many late nights playing a new game

yes, this is an item already requested in the wishlist. We will add features as week passes, but priorities are the bugs and the AI for now. The game is not even one week old, don't forget
