Invincible or not, i was always under the impression that a 3Star couldnt be killed? Am i living in a fantasy land or have i just been robbed of the brilliance of J.E.Johnson.

okay found somthing in the wiki:-
http://www.ageod.net/aacwwiki/Manual:Combat_in_the_field
''Leaders are treated differently: they must make a check based on their rank to see if they were wounded or killed in action. A 1 star leader is the most vulnerable while 3 star leaders and above are immune. ''
Has this changed in the recent patch or is the wiki i a little out of date?
Edit: Must add that i am playing the new w/ken grand campaign.

Hi!
If i remember correctly, a *** can't get killed by a "stray bullet" (the roll check you post about) but can get "killed" if their whole stack is eliminated.
Was this the case with Johnson ??
Cheers

Nope was a funny old battle actually, Johnston got killed, The union routed, then I retreated and the union stayed in the region lol.
Wanted to check that its definatly a fault before i harass my PBEM opponent for the full files so i can post them. (am not the host)
Edit: Although i had thought perhaps its linked too the w/ken scenario but i really have no idea.

Okay it was predivisional/corps time so hes alone not a army or corps leader, but hes commanding a stack that still exists, but unfortunatly without him.
Just incase that effects anything , better mention it lol.

Did the chance of generals dieing increase? Cause I fought a battle and all three of the division commanders in a corps died

Its not very clear how this works the example given is 20 = 0.2% presumably of getting killed presumably in battle.
I've just started a game with some values inserted but no casualties yet
used 20/25 for 4/3 stars, 50 for 2 stars and 100 for 1 stars.
this means a 1 star has a 1% chance of getting killed?
Also for generals who did get killed in RL I multiplied their score by 5 or 10 according to circumstances. 5 for unlucky and 10 for in the thick of it. ( eg 5 for Whipple and 10 for Kearny).
just guesswork will need to see what ensues, Lyon is about to assault Springfield
S!
Well RIP Lyon, Thomas and McCulloch. There may be an issue with divisions whose leaders are killed you cant break them down to assign a new leader.
