Patch 1.13e

Not sure if this is known or what the deal is with patch 1.13e, but once installed there is no image of Victory points or National Morale points. The hidden move button is changed around. There are also no named battles in the battle reports, the screen is just blank where there should be a title of a battle. When purchasing RR and transports, they are no numbers (10 and 5) on the screen.

I'm going to install 1.13b to get back to what I had, after re-installing. Not a problem, just an fyi.

Is this repeatable? Do you have savegames where this occurs (while not in others)? Perhaps a screenshot to show it? Did you install from scratch, then apply the 1.13e patch (only), or is this patched up from a previous version.

Sorry for being inquisitive, but the more details provided, the easier it is to pinpoint what has (or hasn't) occurred and in turn address it :)

If you experience missing texts, then it is a problem with the fonts. You can try copying the fonts in ACW\Fonts into your Windows Fonts folder.

I'm sorry but I just have to speak out. Here you are helping out in a situation where it would be completely understandable if you simply ignored the post.

Again.

You're a sweetheart! (In a ice age "squirrelly" sort of way, of course.)

Remember, guys. I love you all and there is nothing you can do about it.

Thanks for the responses guys. The first time it happened it wasn't installed from scratch. I then uninstalled and re-installed and patched 1.13e in. Same exact situation. Not a saved game issue at all. It was that way from the beginning of a campaign (April 1861).

I didn't make any screen shots, and I'm back to 1.13b now (downloaded from the Ageod link). All is well now though. 1.13e also changed the mouse arrow to either a Union or Confederate flagged pointer thing. Fascinating touch.

Just out of curiosity, why are you bothering with 1.13e? Unless I'm totally misunderstanding something, the latest Beta release is 1.14rc14, which can be d/led at the top of the stickied patch thread.

You can copy and paste the whole AACW directory structure to another separate stand-alone install directory, you know. What I have is my main 'vanilla' 1.13b game install (my main 'vanilla' game resides there) and then a separate directory I have called BETA114 (the game I'm 'currently' playing).

Just curious. Ignore me or enlighten me, as you see fit.
