I have noticed several times when the AI is placing reinforcement units for the North that the list says they are placed in a particular town or city but they're actually placed elsewhere. It's always a New York unit & it ALWAYS appears in northern N.Y. in the town just east of Albany (can't remember name at this moment). I'm running the latest patch (1.13b). This happens every game. For instance: The unit will show as being in Indianapolis but it's not there. Upon closer inspection the unit description will be a N.Y. unit & when I click on the unit icon it takes me to that city.

It doesn't make the game unplayable but I was wondering does anyone else have this problem?

Also, if it's a game "bug", is it fixable by our game designers?

I would be glad to as it happened again today while I was playing. LOVE the game by the way, it's a true addiction on my part. The city is Troy just east of Albany.
And yes, you might need to instruct me as to the how.
I'm really IMPRESSED by the response time, Lensman.

Uh, Lensman, things aren't quite the same for me. I'm running Vista not XP. I get to the third step & it's not looking the same, i.e., Manage Attachments.jpg.
Up to this point I'm ok. Also trying to find the exact location of the saved games & having problem there too.
At this moment I have the location error occurence, stopped game, clicked save & exited immediately to get back to you.
HELP!!!

I can practically assume it will happen again unless 1.14 has done something. I lost my first PBEM & am now playing solo against AI with new patch. Should I repost if it occurs?

Thanks for the saved game and your efforts you all (impressive attachment tutorial Gray!), I'll check this bug.

The save "Wrong Placement Reporting Bug saved game files" does not contain units recruited in NY for the Union...
