Has anyone played as the French in the 55-63 Grand Campaign so you can tell me if the French get any major reinforcements after Montcalm has arrived?

Some historical sites claim that the French recieved some significant reinforcements during 58 or so.

I have only noticed these:

1. April 1756 additional Indian Allies and several regiments of Troupes de Marin are "unlocked and released".

2. de Bourlamague brings a half strenght arty unit and a supply unit.

3. Montcalms' army arrives with much needed officers and regular regiments (Fort Carillon is built with a garrison).

4. 1758 Louisbourg receives a new commander and some supply with a fleet which then departs with most of its' assets.

5. French leader Contrecoeur arrives with a Coureurs unit.

6. Playing with the Brits I spotted 2 French fleets circa 59.

7. Chief Pontiac arrives at the scene 1760 with some Indians.

That's it for me...so far I'm missing a leader named Villeneuve (when does he arrive?)

This knowledge is good for the "long term planning".

You get also the "Grand Renfort d'Amerique" if Louisbourg fall.

That does seem to be the full list. You get some supplies each year after 1760, but that is it.

Pocus - What is the Renfort d'Amerique? Have not had Louisburg fall, so no chance to experience that.

Randomization, or a link of additional reinforcements to certain objectives would be cool, but ahistorical.

3 Warships squadrons, 1 transport, 3 infantries regiments, 2 artilleries and one supply.

Forgot that in 1762 Spain joins against England.

In fact, the Renfort d'Amérique has a percentage chance to show up from 1758 onwardsIF the French hold Louisbourg...so the longer they hold, the higher the chance....a good incentive for the British to do something about it (in addition, taking Louisbourg would cost -100 VPs to the French)

Funny day -- playing that campaign and just received that reinforcement! Ye ask and ye shall receive. On to NYC!
