I am having a lot of fun playing the French in the French & Indian War scenarios. However while my indians are good at burning forts then won't capture towns.

For example I have 4 indian & irregular units on Assault on a level 1 town with zero defenders. The status shows the town is (besieged). But turn after turn I still can't gain control of the town! What an I doing wrong?

It is not possible for Indians or Irregulars to take control of towns. They can capture Depots, Villages, and Harbors and can burn a Level 1 Fort. British Light Infantry, even though considered as Irregulars, are exempt from this rule.
