Killing enemy leaders

I have a feeling that my brave Hessians killed that infamous traitor Washington in 1776. After his army was destroyed, Washington disappeared from the scene and hasn't been spotted for over a year now...

Would have been nice to get a message when enemy leaders are killed - especially the senior ones...

I say - not very sporting of you, old chap. Trust the Germans to behave so badly! :turc:

Agreed - notification (even if delayed a turn or two) would be great, and prob appropriate. Another option would be to see specific values in the Victory Point tallies, so we would know the value each objective and/or enemy leader.

You need to switch on Detailed Combat Resolution. For example, in the screenshot below, you can clearly see I am about to deliver a death blow to General Jack Bauer/w CTU:

Yes, a bad idea gone wrong. There's more to simulating that time period than throwing some lobsterback skins on the generic HL2 models. I LOL every time I think of the guy who put this in motion, thinking yeah, this is a good idea.

Are you sure G. Washington didn't escape to another american city? In my campaign, Washington's army (foolishly, he let me lead) got caught up in Norfolk, and was slaughtered by Burgoyne, about 30,000 Germans and 10,000 Redcoats....we lost ALL of our units, but only one of 5 leaders -- the other 4 popped up in Virginia, unharmed.

Perhaps you will encounter Mr. Washington again....

I believe you can see when leaders have been killed in the battle resolution screen - there's a row of black crosses at the top. When I trapped the renegade Washington and his 'army' north of Lake Champlain, the number of crosses matched the number of leaders so I took this as showing they all perished. The colonies have been saved for the King. Hurrah!
